CP12 Competition Rules                  Winners of the CP12 Competition  


1. Shortest Drive:
1.1.
The shortest drive shall only count from the teeing ground, drives through the green shall be exempt from   measurement.
1.2. The competitor shall use a regulation golf club to strike the ball.
1.3. The competitor shall address the ball in the normal manner.
1.4. The competitor shall attempt as normal a golf swing as their belly will allow.
1.5. The ball shall leave the tee in the general direction of the hole. Note: The hole shall be that hole associated with the teeing ground the competitor is playing from.
1.6. The distance measured will be that distance between the tee and the final position of the ball, once it has come to rest.
1.7. The distance shall not be measured if the ball has come to rest out of bounds.
1.8. The distance shall not be measured if the ball has come to rest within the area of the teeing ground.
1.9. The ball shall remain whole to qualify for measurement.
1.10. At least two other members of the Old Farts Golf Society shall attest to the competition.


2. Most Number of Lost Balls:
2.1.
The qualifying number of lost balls shall be that number of balls lost in the same round.
2.2. The competitor shall take all reasonable efforts to locate any lost balls.
2.3. Only whole balls shall be considered lost.
2.4. At least two other members of the Old Farts Golf Society shall attest to the competition.


3. Most Circuitous Route to the Pin:
3.1.
The route measured shall be that of the ball in play during one hole.
3.2. The competitor shall play the same ball during the hole to qualify for measurement.
3.3. The competitor shall take all strokes such as to strike the ball in the general direction of the current hole in play.
3.4. Lost balls will be exempt, and exclude the hole on which the lost ball was lost from measurement.
3.5. A ball out of bounds, drop shots, hazards will be accepted for measurement.
3.6. At least two other members of the Old Farts Golf Society shall attest to the competition.


4. Loudest Trousers:
4.1.
The trousers shall be those trousers worn by the competitor during the round.
4.2. The trousers worn by the competitor shall not be lewd, rude, nor obscene.
4.3. The trousers worn by the competitor shall fit, more or less.
4.4. The trousers worn by the competitor shall be wholly visible at all times during the round.
4.5. The trousers worn by the competitor shall remain on the competitor at all times during the round.
4.6. The trousers worn by the competitor shall have no artificial means of support, other than belt or braces.
4.7. At least two other members of the Old Farts Golf Society shall attest to the competition.


General Rules of Competition:
In the event of a tie, an argument, shouting, or drinking and gut barging contest will decide the winner.
Disputes regarding interpretation of the rules will be settled by general disagreement only after each member of the society has drunk the equivalent of four pints of beer.
No decision shall be final.
